Population diversity and sense of welcoming

Rich or poor, gay or straight, caucasian or north african,... everybody belongs here respecting each other

Encouraging diversity

The area has recovered since the 1970's "doom & gloom" period, and that revival has brought about an extremely diverse population, which we wish to preserve and encourage. Our differences contribute to the daily pleasure of living here, and mutual assistance is a cornerstone of our local values.

This "active tolerance" is part of our concern when we get involved in an urban planning project (e.g. maintaining social housing) or when we act as mediators when the interests of some diverge from those of others.
